River Hills Farm and Apiary
is located on a farm that was originally a dairy farm. The Whitemouth River flows along the back of the farm and the farm is divided by a well treed ravine with a creek that flows freely in the spring and often after a heavy rain. The farm has 130 acres, 110 of which are tilled land. The fields are rented to a neighbouring farmer who grows and harvests alfalfa on them for his cow-calf operation. We are surrounded by other farms of various types: dairy, egg producers, grain (including soybeans, canola and pulses). The non-cultivated areas provide a variety of blossoms including, wwild plum, hawthorne, willow, maple, yellow and white sweet clover, Canada thistle and goldenrod.
